A Little Goes a Long Way

I can't believe it's been over a week already since my last post. I've been busy writing and doing other things as well. Here's my latest press release: Greenpeace Urges President Obama to earn prize.

I really enjoyed writing it and think that Greenpeace has some legitimate concerns. Maybe it’s because I’m a parent, but over the last several years, I’ve realized how important issues like climate change and conserving our resources really are. They’re truly global concerns. As a general rule, we are a very wasteful society and it’s going to have serious implications for the next generation and beyond if we do not get our act together.

The good news is that if everyone does their small part, a huge difference could be made. A few small changes would go a very long way in protecting what we have.

Just imagine if everyone stopped running the water while brushing their teeth – we would save a lot of water! Or if everyone actually turned off their computers when not in use, how much less energy would be wasted - or money when it comes time to pay the bill. Remember, the payoff for conserving is for everyone, including your own pocketbooks - but most importantly for your children and grandchildren!

Well, enough of my rambling. Other than writing my press release today, I’ve been enjoying the snow that has suddenly decided to fall. We’ve received about six inches since morning and temperatures have dropped dramatically. Today it was 16 degrees with a wind chill of zero! Yikes that’s cold! I wonder if Greenpeace has any plans in the future for controlling severe weather like that. Seriously though, up until the last couple days, we have been blessed with very mild weather. A little snow helps us to better get in the Christmas spirit, right?

I hope everyone is warm and enjoying fun and interesting writing or winter projects. Take care!
